HETI has a great opportunity for a Senior Geologist/Senior Environmental Scientist/Senior Engineer with 10+ years of experience in the environmental field.

This role will be responsible for providing technical and business skills and contributing to advanced solutions across various sectors including environmental, chemical, commercial, manufacturing, government, energy, financial, insurance, and legal. This job is 100% remote.

The candidate should have experience managing consulting assignments, work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, be proficient in analysis and communication of information, and able to collaborate with agencies, organizations, and individuals to guide decision-making. The successful candidate is also expected to be proficient in all facets of project management and demonstrate collaboration with colleagues throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Client Management & Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and outcomes.
• Collaborate with project teams, including environmental engineers, geologists, and technicians.
• Communicate complex technical information to clients and stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:

• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and closure documentation.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive reports, including site investigation reports, risk assessments, remedial action plans, progress reports, and closure reports.
• Stay current on environmental regulations and guidelines.

Remediation Planning/Implementation:

• Develop and implement effective remediation plans based on site investigations and risk assessments.
• Design and oversee remediation strategies such as excavation, soil vapor extraction, groundwater treatment, in-situ bioremediation, etc.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and permits during remediation.

Site Assessments:

• Manage and conduct site investigations to identify contamination sources, evaluate risks, and develop remediation strategies.
• Collect and analyze environmental samples in accordance with protocols and regulations.
• Perform data interpretation, risk assessment, and modeling to assess contamination extent and impact.

Quality Control:

• Implement quality control and assurance measures for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Conduct audits and reviews to verify compliance.
• Address deviations or discrepancies promptly.

The Ideal Candidate should have:

• Current PE or PG license
• Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field
• 10+ years experience in site investigations, remediation, and evaluations
• Solid understanding of environmental regulations and cleanup practices
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of sampling techniques and laboratory analysis methods
