Job summary

LiRo-Hill in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer / Geologist to lead environmental engineering analyses, site investigations, and remediation design. The role requires coordinating with clients and regulators, supervising multi-discipline teams, and developing plans and bids for projects across the region.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in environmental engineering or consulting, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Science.
• 10+ years in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Consulting.
• NY PE or PG preferred.
• Ability to guide junior engineers and scientists.
• Understanding environmental regulations and hazardous materials handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental engineering analysis and design tasks for planning, site investigations, remediation, and operations.
• Coordinate and present submissions with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Perform and manage site investigations to observe existing conditions.
• Supervise development of plans, calculations, specs, and coordinate with disciplines.
• Prepare bid packages, design drawings, and technical specifications.
• Provide responses to technical and contractual issues during projects.
• Utilize a broad set of technical and project management skills on varied projects.
• Engage with clients to expand services and pursue new business.
• Assist in proposals for environmental consulting services.
• Attend industry and business development events as a firm representative.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
