Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or Hydrogeology.
• 4+ years of experience in contaminated sites investigation, remedial and mitigation system design.
• Valid Professional licensure or ability to obtain within one year (engineers).
• Experience with Phase I, II and III environmental site assessments.
• Experience in groundwater treatment system design, operation and maintenance.
• Experience providing litigation support for expert witness projects.
• Knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA regulations; interaction with state agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; detail oriented.
• Overtime availability; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations; collect data and samples.
• Monitor complex construction projects and verify contractor compliance with specs.
• Collect soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment and air samples as needed.
• Operate and maintain groundwater and soil vapor treatment systems.
• Assist with regulatory permits for site investigation and remediation.
• Review records to support environmental due diligence.
• Prepare drilling/well logs and field forms; maintain chain of custody.
• Identify and document field problems; inform project manager.
• Lead preparation of reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates and designs.
• Manage tasks within budgets and schedules; coordinate with clients and subcontractors.
• Supervise staff engineers and interns as needed; perform other duties.
