Job summary

Valero Ardmore Refinery seeks a Sr Environmental Engineer to ensure compliance with EPA rules and regulations and to support environmental programs across the facility.

The role focuses on hazardous materials handling, regulatory reporting, inspections, and continuous improvement in environmental performance. Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5 years of refinery experience are required; a Master's is preferred. This is an on-site, salaried position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or related Science.
• 5 years of Environmental Engineering or related refinery engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure handling and disposal of hazardous materials and solid waste complies with EPA rules.
• Ensure refinery compliance with RCRA, NESHAP, Air Quality standards, and DOT guidelines for training and shipping/handling products.
• Collect samples of products/waste for environmental programs.
• Complete reports for state and federal Regulatory Agencies and maintain documentation.
• Conduct weekly and monthly plant inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
