Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years technical training and experience in relational database technology.
• Experience managing databases and developing ETL processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access with complex formulas and data visualization.
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and automate routines.
• Experience automating processes with Python or R.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail across quantitative work and written communications.
• Experience with EarthSoft's EQuIS (preferred).
• Knowledge of environmental/geologic/geotechnical data collection (preferred).
• Experience with agency databases (preferred).
• Valid U.S. driver's license for travel (required).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage project-specific relational database applications using SQL Server and EQuIS.
• Create workflows and metadata to automate data integration and deliver to maps, dashboards, and reports.
• Manage environmental datasets across the full data lifecycle from collection to reporting.
• Establish QA/QC for data, systems, and processes.
• Compile, verify, analyze, and report large, complex datasets.
• Coordinate with labs, consultants, agencies, and data providers.
• Collect, transform, query, and analyze environmental data.
• Deliver data-visualization solutions for environmental projects.
• Drive occasional business travel as needed.
