Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or related field.
• At least seven years of experience in environmental investigations, risk management or loss prevention.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review environmental records for real estate lending transactions and prepare review memoranda.
• Analyze collateral and environmental risk for commercial real estate loans.
• Obtain and review Phase I ESAs and other investigations for defaulted CRE loans.
• Coordinate environmental consultant work, scope definitions, and deliverables.
• Conduct independent research to supplement environmental information for real estate collateral.
• Assist in developing standardized environmental inspection documentation.
• Support management with environmental risk assessments in acquisitions and audits.
• Qualify environmental firms to perform Bank-related work.
• Perform reviews involving complex environmental reports and contaminated properties requiring remediation.
• Critically review scopes of work for Phase II investigations and remedial action plans.
