Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Engineer (Level 5) in the United States to lead the development of detailed cost estimates for environmental remediation and civil works projects. You will work across planning, feasibility, design, and construction phases with a focus on defensible estimates and risk analysis.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering, a PE license, and about 7 years of related experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering; PE license; 7 years related experience.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of detailed cost estimates for environmental remediation and civil projects.
Develop cost estimates during CERCLA and RCRA feasibility studies with lifecycle cost comparisons.
Prepare cost estimates to support project authorization, budgeting, and bid evaluations.
Utilize MCACES MII and advanced Excel models to generate accurate estimates.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design elements into cost models.
Participate in value engineering studies to identify cost efficiencies.
Provide cost risk analyses and document assumptions to support decisions.
