Job summary

Alliance Technical Group in Houston seeks a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist to lead advanced environmental projects across air, water, and waste programs, including scoping, execution, and closeout. You will oversee studies, field investigations, data interpretation, and regulatory support.

The ideal candidate has 7–15+ years of experience, strong leadership, client engagement, and the ability to manage budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA knowledge.
• 7–15+ years of relevant environmental consulting or regulatory experience.
• Strong regulatory and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex environmental compliance projects across air, water, and waste programs from scoping through closeout.
• Serve as primary client contact and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Interpret and apply environmental regulations and provide strategic compliance guidance.
• Oversee environmental assessments, field investigations, and data analysis with technical defensibility.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources with QA/QC accountability.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support business development including proposals and client presentations.
• Conduct environmental fieldwork, inspections, monitoring, or sampling as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits, regulatory reviews, and quality control.
• Communicate with regulatory agencies or stakeholders for permits, reporting, and coordination.
• Stay current with regulations and best practices.
