Job summary

Alliance Technical Group is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist II to perform mid-level environmental technical work across air, water, and waste programs. You will manage projects, conduct fieldwork, analyze data, and prepare reports while overseeing schedule, budget, and client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional environmental experience and can work 70% in the office with 30% in the field or travel, under moderate supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional environmental experience in consulting, industry, or regulatory setting.
• Understanding of environmental regulations affecting complex facilities (CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA).
• Experience supporting environmental compliance, permitting, monitoring, or related activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental projects from kickoff through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Perform environmental fieldwork, inspections, monitoring, or sampling as required.
• Prepare and contribute to environmental reports, technical memoranda, site-specific compliance plans, or permit documentation.
• Support environmental compliance, permitting, assessment, or monitoring activities.
• Collect, compile, and analyze environmental data to support project deliverables and decision-making.
• Maintain project documentation, field logs, and records for audits and reviews.
• Coordinate with project managers, staff, and clients to support execution.
• Communicate with regulatory agencies or stakeholders to support permitting and reporting.
• Stay informed of regulations, guidance, and best practices applicable to the work.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff.
