Job summary

Indiana Automotive Fasteners, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety Senior Specialist to oversee environmental compliance at our Greenfield, IN facility.

You will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and act as the facility's primary resource for permitting, reporting, inspections, and regulatory compliance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering and at least five years of manufacturing environmental compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, and hazardous waste.
• ISO 14001 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility compliance with EPA, IDEM, and applicable local environmental regulations.
• Manage environmental permits, including air permits, stormwater permits, and other applicable regulatory permits.
• Prepare and submit environmental regulatory reports such as Tier II, Toxic Release Inventory (TRI), and emissions reports.
• Manage hazardous waste programs in accordance with RCRA regulations, including storage, labeling, manifesting, and vendor coordination.
• Conduct internal environmental compliance inspections and audits.
• Serve as primary point of contact during environmental regulatory inspections.
• Maintain environmental records and compliance documentation.
• Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO14002 Environmental Management System requirements.
• Support environmental incidents, including spills, releases, and corrective actions.
