Job summary

Ascot Group is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join the Environmental Claims Team. This role handles first- and third-party environmental liability claims, construction professional liability, and related general liability for contractors, oil & gas, and others.

You will manage complex claims, collaborate with counsel, and oversee outside vendors while maintaining high professional standards and regulatory compliance. A JD is preferred but not required; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of casualty claims experience handling environmental and construction professional liability claims.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and multiple claims platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple client projects.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end management of primary and excess liability claims per policy and state rules.
• Analyze coverage issues; prepare comprehensive coverage letters for claims.
• Review contracts and indemnity provisions to determine coverage and defense strategies.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation; oversee vendor billing and expenses.
• Present findings to internal partners and clients; participate in mediations/arbitrations/trials.
