Job summary

AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, seeks an Environmental Claims Manager in the United States. Based in Exton, PA, Hartford, CT, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, or Chicago, IL, you will lead a team handling complex environmental, auto/transportation, and general liability claims.

You will collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Legal to drive outcomes. You will guide coverage evaluation, litigation strategy, and expense management while delivering exceptional service to

Qualifications

Experience handling complex environmental, auto/transportation, and general liability claims.
Proven ability to lead and develop a claims team.
Strong analytical and communication skills with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Environmental P&C claims professionals handling high-exposure claims.
Oversee coverage analysis, liability evaluation, reserving, and litigation strategy.
Provide guidance on complex coverage matters with internal/external counsel.
Ensure audits and Financial Internal Controls compliance across the team.
Use data/analytics to identify trends and inform leadership decisions.
Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial on claim issues and portfolio strategy.
Deliver excellent customer service to policyholders and brokers.
Set expectations, coach, and develop team members; support succession planning.
