Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 7+ years environmental casualty underwriting experience with increasing responsibility.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of environmental casualty underwriting concepts, practices, and techniques.
• Experience with workers' compensation for environmental contractors.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to interact effectively with brokers, clients, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex referrals and support timely underwriting decisions.
• Monitor premium, rate, retention, profitability, loss trends, and exposure.
• Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, forms, and product enhancements.
• Support EPIC, excess casualty, auto, and environmental contractors’ workers’ compensation strategy.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to underwriters.
• Occasional travel and marketing responsibilities, including client and broker visits.
• Strengthen broker and distribution relationships and support renewal and new-business execution.
