Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a Senior Security Consultant / Principal – Identity & SecOps to lead identity-centric engagements across the Mid-Atlantic region. This remote role supports customers in NC, VA, MD, DC, DE, PA, and NJ with 20% travel, focusing on Entra ID, AD, CAP, PKI, and modern identity security platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cybersecurity consulting, engineering, or architecture experience with project delivery ownership.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory and M365 security.
• Experience implementing IAM controls, PKI, and authentication technologies.
• Strong knowledge of CAP, MFA, SSO, RBAC, PIM, PAM, and Zero Trust concepts.
• Experience supporting SecOps functions—SIEM/Sentinel, SOC, ITDR, or threat hunting.
• Proven leadership—leading engagements, mentoring, and delivery outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple engagements.
• Eastern Time Zone availability required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver identity-focused engagements from scoping through execution and final deliverables.
• Assess, design, and improve Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory environments.
• Perform CAP assessments and identity hardening reviews.
• Advise on PKI, certificate lifecycle, and cryptographic controls.
• Support Identity governance, MFA, PAM, PIM, RBAC, and passwordless initiatives.
• Advise on modern identity platforms (Microsoft Entra, Okta, CrowdStrike) and related solutions.
• Address Non-Human Identity risks and emerging AI identity security concerns.
• Support SecOps initiatives including SIEM, SOC, ITDR, and threat hunting.
• Develop remediation roadmaps and mentor junior consultants.
• Participate in presales activities as a trusted advisor.
• Produce high-quality customer deliverables and documentation.
• Adopt emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve outcomes.
