Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Principal Engineer- Systems Architecture within the Enterprise Network Solutions team to drive architecture, innovation, and high-impact deployment across enterprise verticals including Sports & Venues, Healthcare, Media, and Manufacturing.

You will lead end-to-end wireless architectures (4G/5G, MEC, Private Wireless, IP routing, RF design), work with enterprise customers and partners to architect, validate, and scale premier solutions, and guide field trials and deployments

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience.
Experience in wireless networking, architecture, or systems integration.
Experience leading large-scale network architecture projects.
Expertise with 4G/5G core, MEC, IP routing, RF design, and edge/private networks.
Willingness to travel up to 25% or less.

Responsibilities

Leading projects related to advanced enterprise use-case solutions on private and public wireless networks.
Contributing to technology roadmapping, IP/patent ideation, and standardized deployment architectures.
Working with enterprise customers, partners, product leadership, and system integrators to architect, validate, and scale solutions; leading lab and field trials.
Designing and engineering infrastructure for critical trial scenarios and complex deployments; establishing kit standards and deployment best practices.
Engaging with enterprise clients and stakeholders to solve connectivity and operational insights and driving cross-functional alignment to monetize solutions.
