Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least six years of progressively responsible experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge in Windows or Linux server systems, cloud platforms, AD/Entra ID, virtualization, storage, backup, automation, and monitoring.
• Experience leading or contributing to major infra implementations, upgrades, migrations, or incident response.
• Ability to develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, or comparable technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, monitor, and improve secure, scalable enterprise systems across on‑premises and cloud.
• Serve as a senior technical resource for systems, cloud, virtualization, directory services, and security.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and platform modernization.
• Develop and maintain automation using scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Implement system hardening, patching, and recovery with Information Security partnership.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity capabilities with documentation and testing.
• Maintain technical docs, diagrams, and recovery procedures.
• Lead projects, coordinate across IT teams and vendors, mentor staff.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
• Provide responsive support to University customers and partners.
