Job summary

Olympus Solutions, Inc. in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Storage Engineer - SME to provide senior technical leadership for enterprise storage services under the SEC ISS contract.

The role architects, implements, and sustains highly available storage platforms across primary, alternate, and regional environments, driving performance optimization, capacity planning, and robust backup and recovery strategies. The position is based in Norfolk, VA and reports to the Infrastructure team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• 12+ years of enterprise storage architecture, design, and administration
• Expertise with SAN/NAS technologies and storage virtualization
• Experience leading complex storage migrations, upgrades, and cloud/on-premises integration
• Advanced expertise in storage performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies
• Must meet contract citizenship/work authorization requirements
• Ability to obtain SEC Public Trust suitability (or higher)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise SAN/NAS and storage virtualization for mission-critical systems.
• Develop storage strategies, standards, and policies aligned with compliance requirements.
• Lead complex storage projects including migrations and cloud integrations.
• Ensure high availability, data integrity, and scalability across SEC environments.
• Administer and optimize large-scale storage environments with proactive monitoring.
• Perform capacity planning and forecasting to maintain service continuity.
• Troubleshoot advanced storage incidents and optimize performance.
• Establish and track operational metrics for SLAs and trends.
• Architect and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end storage services.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide storage SME guidance.
