Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Solutions Architect to serve as a technical authority across Finance, Legal, Compliance, and related platforms. You will diagnose legacy debt, design modernization roadmaps, and lead end-to-end enterprise solutions with AWS/Azure, REST and event-driven integrations, and data pipelines.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with business stakeholders, and contribute to architecture governance while documenting designs in modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Seven years of IT experience.
• Minimum of two years of technical leadership and architecture experience.
• At least three years designing end-to-end solutions in complex environments for Solutions Architect I
• At least five years designing enterprise-scale solutions in complex environments for Solutions Architect II
• Strong or deep understanding of enterprise application ecosystems and integration architecture
• Experience with ERP, EPM, custom, and SaaS applications
• Experience with REST, event-driven APIs, managed file transfer, EDI/X12, Kafka, or equivalent
• Experience designing data pipeline and ETL architectures
• Experience with on-premises and cloud-based application environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure services
• Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS, C#, or equivalent
• Experience with custom and proprietary application development and complex legacy codebases
• Experience evaluating and refactoring customized legacy codebases
• Familiarity with middleware and managed file transfer platforms
• SQL and data analysis experience
• Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise AI solutions, AI/ML platforms, large language model applications, and AI-enabled workflow automation
• Experience with legacy modernization roadmaps and technical debt assessmentExperience with business process management and business rules engines
• Familiarity with containers, serverless architectures, and SQL/NoSQL database design
• Experience with telemetry and observability tools such as CloudWatch or NewRelic
• Knowledge of TOGAF, Archimate, or equivalent architecture frameworks
• Experience documenting solutions in enterprise architecture modeling tools
• Ability to work alongside engineering managers and influence delivery outcomes
• Strong mentoring, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication abilities
• Ability to continuously update technical skills
• Experience in health insurance, payer-oriented processes and systems, and health insurance technologies and regulations is preferred
• Advanced degree is preferred for Solutions Architect II
• Wired internet connection with minimum 5Mb upload and 10Mb download for work-from-home arrangements
• Personal mobile device required for MFA

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for Corporate Solutions architecture across Finance, Legal, Compliance, Imaging, Archiving, Middleware, and Integration platforms.
• Diagnose and prioritize legacy complexity and technical debt.
• Develop modernization roadmaps with engineering managers and business stakeholders.
• Design scalable, maintainable solutions to replace customized legacy implementations.
• Evaluate existing file-based, API-driven, and streaming integrations and define modern patterns.
• Design and evaluate data pipeline and ETL architectures for Finance, Compliance, and operational reporting.
• Evaluate AI solutions and third-party AI platforms across Corporate Solutions domains.
• Partner with Cambia's enterprise AI team to implement AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead build-versus-buy and vendor evaluations.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, proof-of-concept development, code review, and real-time problem solving.
• Assess and refactor customized legacy codebases.
• Establish technical direction, standards, and expectations with engineering managers.
• Estimate project resources and timelines.
• Audit project status for technical and process excellence.
• Mentor engineers and architects across a 30-40 person organization.
• Translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and executives.
• Document solutions in the EA Modeling Environment.
• Participate in architecture governance and quality review
