Job summary

Ottenweller Company Inc. seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and support enterprise applications used across manufacturing, operations, finance, engineering, customer service, and leadership.

Strong C#/.NET and SQL Server skills are required; Epicor Kinetic experience is a plus but not required. You will mentor developers, participate in architecture decisions, and help modernize existing systems while reducing technical debt.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including responsibility for production systems.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design.
• Demonstrated experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating enterprise systems.
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git or Azure DevOps, IIS, debugging, logging, and production deployment practices.
• Ability to review execution plans, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and make sound indexing and query-design decisions.
• Ability to gather requirements directly from business users and convert them into supportable technical solutions.
• Strong written communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and ownership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Razor Pages, MVC, Blazor, and REST APIs.
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, functions, indexes, and complex T-SQL queries.
• Build secure integrations among Epicor ERP, internal applications, Microsoft services, equipment, and third-party platforms.
• Create manufacturing dashboards, workflow automation, reporting solutions, mobile‑friendly tools, and shop‑floor applications.
• Analyze business processes with end users and recommend practical technology improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable corrective actions.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, release planning, documentation, and change control.
• Mentor other developers and help establish standards for source control, testing, security, observability, and maintainability.
• Balance new development with modernization of existing applications and technical debt reduction.
• Communicate project status, risks, options, and recommendations clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
