Job summary

Makpar is hiring an Enterprise Security Architect III to design, implement, and sustain security architecture for ICAM workstreams within federal projects. The role blends enterprise security design with hands-on delivery across software, cloud, and DevSecOps environments.

The ideal candidate will translate security requirements into technical controls, lead security assessments, and drive remediation actions while collaborating with engineers and testers through the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or maintaining enterprise security architecture.
• Experience integrating cybersecurity controls into software, cloud, or DevSecOps environments.
• Experience supporting security assessments or authorization activities.
• Experience identifying, documenting, and remediating technical vulnerabilities.
• Experience developing or managing POA&M remediation actions.
• Ability to work with software engineering and testing teams throughout the SDLC.
• Ability to interpret security requirements and translate them into technical controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise security architecture for ICAM applications and services.
• Translate DHS security requirements into implementable architecture and controls.
• Contribute to secure application and configuration development.
• Integrate security controls into application, infrastructure, cloud, and DevSecOps environments.
• Lead or support security assessments and technical control validation.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Authorization to Operate activities.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities within required timeframes.
• Develop remediation actions and POA&M items when findings persist.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to embed security in SDLC.
• Support CI/CD, testing, and release activities within the workstream.
