Job summary

Verisign seeks a Senior Information Security Architect to shape security strategy across the company. You will lead high-impact design decisions, guide AI/ML security, and coordinate with engineering, cloud, data, and AI teams from concept to production.

You will authoritatively steer risk decisions, governance, and security patterns at enterprise scale, aligning with business objectives and technology direction. Hybrid work from Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years information security experience with enterprise security architecture.
• Expertise across security architecture, cloud, identity, endpoint, data protection, and detection and response.
• Proven ability to lead threat modeling and architecture reviews for high-value systems.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML security incl. secure MLOps, model governance, prompt injection and risk.
• Ability to translate complex risk into clear recommendations for engineering and leadership.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise security architecture strategy, principles, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
• Lead security architecture engagements for complex, high-risk programs and translate objectives into controls.
• Establish architecture requirements for AI/ML systems, including secure MLOps and data governance.
• Review AI designs and address risks around AI models, data, and prompts.
• Perform threat modeling and security design assessments for critical systems.
• Identify security gaps, deliver prioritized recommendations and executive communications.
• Evaluate technologies and vendors to ensure interoperable, measurable, and aligned solutions.
