Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise architectures across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.

You will lead cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance initiatives while protecting Apex's information assets against evolving threats. The role requires deep technical expertise and strong business acumen to develop security solutions aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related technical field required.
• 7–10+ years in cybersecurity; 3–5+ years in security architectures or leading initiatives.
• Experience securing cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and implementing enterprise security controls.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks; risk and compliance focus.
• Security leadership, mentoring, and ability to present to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise cybersecurity architecture aligned with business goals.
• Lead security engineering across networks, endpoints, apps, and cloud platforms.
• Develop secure architectures for multi-cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
• Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and remediation planning.
• Guide incident response, threat hunting, and cyber resilience initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams.
