Job summary

CTG, on behalf of its Fortune 500 client, seeks a Senior Search Engineer specializing in enterprise search and conversational AI. This hands-on role focuses on design, development, and optimization of search pipelines, RAG, and AI integrations using Lucidworks Fusion or comparable platforms.

Responsibilities include building lexical, semantic, and vector search, developing conversational search experiences, integrating LLM services, and ensuring quality with tests and metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in search engineering, information retrieval, or enterprise app development.
• Hands-on experience with Lucidworks Fusion, Solr/Lucene, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Algolia or similar.
• Experience with semantic and vector search, embeddings, hybrid ranking, and relevance optimization.
• Experience developing RAG solutions, grounding, prompts, citations, and guardrails.
• Experience supporting AWS and Kubernetes in production.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python, JSON, REST APIs, Git, CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of search schemas, analyzers, tokenization, facets, boosting, filtering, and query debugging.
• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of enterprise search solutions.
• Build lexical, semantic, vector, and hybrid search capabilities with relevance tuning.
• Develop single-turn and multi-turn conversational search and RAG experiences.
• Integrate LLM and AI services with secure, performant APIs.
• Establish search benchmarks, quality metrics, and automated tests.
• Troubleshoot pipelines, APIs, Solr, AWS, Kubernetes, and integrations.
• Collaborate with AEM, front-end, product, AI, cloud, security, and architecture teams.
• Implement Git workflows, CI/CD, tests, monitoring, and config-as-code.
