Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Program Safety Senior Advisor to lead enterprise-wide safety programs, including Safety Observations and Driver Safety, ensuring contractor partners meet safety goals. Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in health, safety, or compliance programs, activities, or systems.
• Experience developing, managing, and maturing enterprise-wide safety programs.
• Knowledge of occupational safety regulations, with experience guiding organizations on compliance and practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and runs enterprise-wide safety programs and initiatives; creates new processes to drive safety objectives.
• Co-ordinates with safety culture experts and safety management systems strategists; influences policies with partners.
• Analyzes complex technical problems and delivers solutions where precedent may not exist.
• Sets objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, and budgets; ensures tasks and schedules for project execution.
• Determines actions to obtain results; work checked through collaboration rather than formal review.
• Drives implementation of safety programs with strategic input to senior management.
• Independently determines methods and procedures for new assignments.
• Influences leadership on major initiatives and implements strategic projects.
• Presents, facilitates, and provides recommendations at executive forums and prepares reports.
• Delivers training and presentations on Safety projects at an advanced level.
• Provides guidance about work activities to colleagues.
