Job summary

West Virginia University Health System is seeking a senior finance professional to oversee regulatory reimbursement compliance, net revenue management, and budgeting across our hospitals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Business with Accounting/Finance, 5 years of healthcare finance experience, and advanced credentials (MBA/CPA). You will lead a team, coordinate with auditors, payers, and WV HCA staff, and drive opportunities to improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• Five (5) years of experience in healthcare finance or accounting.
• MBA or CPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures hospitals are in compliance with state and federal reimbursement regulations.
• Manages preparation and analytical review of Medicare Cost Reports and WV HCA filings.
• Analyzes reimbursement regulations to assess financial impact of changes.
• Coordinates development of the net revenue budget.
• Coordinates with various departments to monitor revenue and reserves for contractuals, bad debt and charity.
