Job summary

DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is seeking a Senior Enterprise Network Engineer to lead the network engineering team, ensuring 24/7 availability and performance across LAN, WAN, Datacenter, and Cloud. You will oversee hardware, firmware, software migrations, and change control for critical enterprise infrastructure.

The role requires extensive Cisco routing/switching expertise, SDWAN, ISE, and DNAC experience, with a track record in budgeting, vendor coordination, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field.
• Seven (7) years of enterprise network experience with three (3) years of supervisory experience in maintenance and operation of Enterprise networking technologies.
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching, LAN/WAN architecture, firewalls, wireless technologies, cellular technologies, VOIP and POTS services, telco circuits, SDWAN, Software Defined Networking, Cisco ISE, Prime and DNAC.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads the enterprise network team to maximize availability and performance.
• Manages design, installation, maintenance, and selection of networking equipment and software.
• Directs complex projects such as new construction and renovation and technology research.
• Manages budget and expenditures for Operational and Capital accounts.
• Leads the evaluation, specifications, and requirements of new equipment.
• Develops and writes job descriptions for team alignment.
