Job summary

DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) in Dallas, TX is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide expert-level support for enterprise OT networks, lead network design and implementation, and mentor junior engineers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer.
• CCNP/CCNP Enterprise or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass medical exam including drug screen for non-revenue operation vehicle use.
• Proficiency in PC software (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work from remote locations as needed.
• On-call rotation availability and variable hours.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to translate needs into technical solutions and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning, and implementation of enterprise networks.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for complex issues.
• Hands‑on support for routers, switches, wireless systems, and power equipment.
• Ensure scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery for IT and ITS services.
• Provide technical leadership to Tier 1–2 engineers and oversee incident response.
• Manage network monitoring platforms (e.g., Cisco ISE, DNAC).
• Maintain expertise in L2/L3 protocols (VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP) and VPNs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to meet standards (ISO, NIST, CJIS).
• Develop network documentation, DR strategies, and backup procedures.
• Oversee ITS enterprise systems design and interoperability.
• Translate operational needs into technical solutions for business units.
• Engage in change and incident management and stay current with tech trends.
