Job summary

Protera is searching for a seasoned Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage global enterprise networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN. The role spans across remote sites and cloud integrations with AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in enterprise networking, hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki, Check Point, and Silver Peak, and strong incident response skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Meraki, Check Point, and Silver Peak technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites and remote locations.
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures.
• Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and internet connectivity solutions.
• Evaluate and implement new networking technologies and best practices.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, standards, and technical documentation.
• Manage and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN solutions, VPNs, and network monitoring platforms.
• Perform network configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor network health, performance, and capacity; ensure availability across environments.
• Configure and maintain enterprise firewalls and security appliances; support network segmentation.
• Collaborate with cloud and security teams for secure cloud networking and cross-functional projects.
• Lead Major Incident responses and participate in post-incident reviews.
• Utilize IaC tools for provisioning and configuration management; support automation workflows.
