Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to provide advanced engineering support for our enterprise network. You will verify requirements, design and configure LAN/WAN, data center, and voice networks, and provision and troubleshoot equipment.

You will lead complex issues, document projects, and stay ahead of evolving technologies. Strong collaboration, communication, and multi-tasking are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of related experience in Network Engineering and/or Solutions Engineering.
• CCNP or higher certification is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Arista routing, switching and firewalls.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Python is required.
• Experience with incident response and cross-functional partnership with other lines of business.
• Strong understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization best practices.
• Proficient in more than one infrastructure technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3/4 engineering support for the enterprise network.
• Verify hardware and software requirements; design and configure LAN/WAN, data centers, and voice networks.
• Provision, configure, install, monitor and troubleshoot network equipment.
• Support network technologies and provide high-level user support.
• Deliver accurate problem identification, ticket documentation, and vendor/customer communications.
• Document small-to medium-scale projects and present findings with minimal supervision.
• Dissect complex situations and focus on critical technology tasks.
• Maintain technical mastery and recommend process improvements.
• Serve as an informal leader on tactical problems and mentor peers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
