Job summary

Google is seeking a senior network engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure infrastructure for its enterprise network at scale. You will own architecture, drive automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable services to internal users and external customers.

The role emphasizes advanced networking, VXLAN/BGP EVPN knowledge, andEncryption/key management, with a high-impact, global operations environment. On-site work in the US is expected in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• 10 years' experience with network routing protocols and troubleshooting with network equipment providers.
• Experience with C++, Go, or Python and with VXLAN, BGP EVPN, MC-LAG, encryption and key management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development and deployment of secure infrastructure for Google's Enterprise Network.
• Scale network systems with automation to improve reliability and deployment velocity.
• Provide secure, dependable network services as a Tier 3 SME with 24x7 on-call coverage.
• Collaborate across units to analyze requirements and shape network policy recommendations.
• Own multiple technical projects from inception to completion and mentor peers.
