Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin seeks a Network Specialist V to oversee enterprise messaging and collaboration systems, including Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online. You will manage deployments, disaster recovery, security controls, and on-call support.

The role requires five or more years of experience with enterprise messaging, collaboration tech, and working with IT teams and vendors to ensure high availability and secure communications across the agency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, MIS, cybersecurity, computer engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience administering, maintaining, and supporting enterprise messaging and collaboration platforms.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online environments is required.
• Experience in government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor enterprise messaging and collaboration systems to ensure reliability and SLAs.
• Manage deployments, change control, disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Provide advanced technical support and 24x7 on-call coverage for incidents.
• Implement email security controls, spam/phishing mitigation, and malware protection.
