Job summary

Department of Social Services (DSS) Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a Senior IT Architect to lead enterprise architecture efforts, translate business needs into target-state designs, and guide major DSS initiatives. The role requires broad experience in architecture across data, security, and integration domains within a public-sector context.

You will oversee technical direction, mentor teams, assess cloud options, and ensure reliability and governance across DSS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering/Math with 6+ years in enterprise architecture.
• Experience leading large-scale IT architecture initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, SaaS/IaaS/PaaS, APIs, microservices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present enterprise solution architecture artifacts.
• Lead architecture planning for major DSS initiatives (ACCESS HRA, Paperless Office).
• Serve as technical lead and coordinate project teams.
• Ensure application reliability and data integrity.
