Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead strategy, governance, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across data center, storage, and backup platforms. You will define current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures and collaborate with leaders, security, and vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives.

The role emphasizes architecture governance, strategic roadmaps, and scalable, secure designs for a large-scale IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 16 to 20 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure / solution architecture.
• Experience governing large-scale enterprise environments and data center technologies.
• Proven ability to develop architecture frameworks, standards, and roadmaps.
• Strong security, risk management, and disaster recovery knowledge.
• Ability to lead cross-functional discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain current/state architecture across data center, storage, and backup domains.
• Develop architecture principles, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.
• Lead assessments for cloud adoption, modernization, and migrations.
• Evaluate solutions with focus on scalability, performance, security, and cost.
• Ensure resilience, business continuity, and compliance in designs.
• Drive technology selection, vendor evaluations, and PoC activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure governance across lifecycles.
• Create architecture documentation and decision records, including diagrams.
