Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• MBA or comparable advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in corporate strategy, consulting, finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise strategy engagements focused on long-term profitable growth, portfolio choices, market attractiveness, customer segments, products, services, and geographic opportunities.
• Frame ambiguous business questions using hypothesis-driven problem solving and translate them into structured, decision-oriented workplans.
• Develop high-quality strategic options and recommendations supported by rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Lead assessments of market structure, customer needs, competitive dynamics, economic value, capability requirements, and differentiation sources.
• Build business cases and financial models evaluating growth potential, investments, risks, and returns.
• Lead cross-functional teams drawing on internal Caterpillar expertise, external research, and primary market insights.
• Advise executive sponsors on strategic choices and implementation considerations.
• Present recommendations to senior leadership and facilitate alignment around critical decisions.
• Establish strong relationships with business units and enterprise functions with an enterprise perspective.
