Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 7+ years in strategy, consulting, finance, operations, transformation, or executive support.
  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to connect enterprise workstreams and maintain focus on critical issues.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of Enterprise Strategy to shape priorities, structure leadership agenda, and translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Establish and manage the team’s operating rhythm including leadership meetings, strategy reviews, and annual planning.
  • Maintain an integrated view of the Enterprise Strategy portfolio with milestones, interdependencies, decisions, risks, and resources.
  • Drive follow-through on leadership decisions by defining ownership, tracking commitments, and escalating blockers.
  • Coordinate preparation for engagements with Caterpillar senior leadership, the Executive Office, and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop concise, executive-ready communications that highlight implications for Caterpillar and clarify decisions.
  • Lead selected strategic initiatives requiring cross-functional coordination and rapid problem solving.
  • Connect work across strategy, technology, competitive intelligence, and other enterprise functions.
