Job summary

Diamondback Energy seeks a visionary GIS Enterprise Architect to lead strategy, architecture, and governance for the enterprise GIS platform in Oklahoma City. You will design ArcGIS Enterprise environments, optimize hybrid infrastructure, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver secure GIS solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, CS, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of GIS experience with ArcGIS Enterprise architecture and administration.
• 5+ years leading enterprise GIS infrastructure, servers, and databases.
• 8+ years of oil & gas industry experience.
• Advanced expertise in GIS architecture, enterprise systems administration, geospatial data management, and platform security.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), virtualization, networking, and enterprise DB administration.
• Proven leadership driving enterprise GIS initiatives and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem‑ solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, and technical roadmap for the enterprise GIS platform.
• Design, implement, administer, and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Manage GIS infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises environments for performance, scalability, availability, and security.
• Oversee enterprise geodatabases, system integrations, and platform lifecycle management.
• Establish and maintain GIS governance, architecture standards, security controls, and DR strategies.
• Direct software upgrades, migrations, patching, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Partner with IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver secure GIS solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to GIS professionals and cross‑functional teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation across geospatial tech landscape.
