Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Senior Enterprise Data Engineer to design and build complex data pipelines for the SHC Enterprise Data Platform. The role focuses on ingestion, modeling, governance, and automation to improve patient outcomes and research capabilities.

You'll collaborate with analysts and clinicians, driving data-driven decisions while mentoring other data engineers and leading cross-department projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reporting, analytics, BI or healthcare tech.
• 3+ years in cloud data lake tech (PySpark on Databricks) with DevOps/CI/CD.
• Advanced SQL and data modeling required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders to create, test and implement complex data stores and pipelines.
• Maintain SHC’s standard data modeling, DevOps and development tools and processes.
• Explore new technologies to improve development and operational efficiency.
• Perform analysis, development and testing of complex data marts without supervision.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress and blockers.
• Lead design reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
