Job summary

Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, CA, seeks an experienced Cloud/Data Engineer to lead the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) platform’s day-to-day operations and automation. You will monitor, support, and evolve Azure Databricks–based solutions, ensuring data integrity and security across multi-cloud environments.

The role requires a strong cloud background, leadership, and the ability to mentor engineers while shaping architectural standards and FinOps practices within SHC's EIM

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in information technology, information systems, business management, business analytics, or a related field.
• Eight or more years of cloud engineering/data engineering experience with focus on cloud technologies.
• Azure Databricks and Databricks certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for a domain and guide the team on best practices.
• Drive innovation by researching cutting-edge technologies and vendor relationships.
• Design complex data architectures and maintain Lakehouse standards.
• Collaborate to align cloud and data platform strategies with budget and roadmap.
• Own data pipelines, ingestion, and platform operations including security and compliance.
• Manage FinOps and cost governance for the domain.
