Job summary

Aflac’s Columbus GA posting seeks a Domain Architect to lead enterprise data architecture across data warehouses, lakes, and cloud services. You will drive governance, security, and AI-ready data platforms while collaborating with business and engineering teams.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in architecture or programming, expertise in TOGAF-style frameworks, and strong domain-driven design skills. Hybrid/remote work options available across the continental US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; 8+ years of architecture or programming experience
• 8+ years of relevant architecture or programming experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture roadmap aligning capabilities with business strategy and AI initiatives
• Design and govern enterprise data architecture including data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouse, and cloud-native data services
• Design and govern data products ensuring data assets are discoverable, reusable, interoperable, and aligned to business capabilities
• Develop and govern data models, standards, metadata, and data governance practices supporting operational, analytical, and AI/ML use cases
• Architect data integration patterns and platforms supporting operational, analytical, and AI-driven workloads
• Lead data architecture governance including reference architecture, standards, and exception management
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with business objectives and enterprise standards
• Evaluate data technologies and approaches balancing value, risk, cost and sustainability
• Ensure data security, privacy and regulatory compliance are embedded in designs
• Perform other duties as required
