Job summary

Clario, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, seeks a Senior Data Architect to define the enterprise data architecture and set technology and pattern choices for ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving. You will be the senior technical authority guiding data contracts, schemas, and governance across clinical, operational, and analytical data.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data-intensive roles with senior data architecture or principal/staff data engineering experience.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; able to review production pipelines.
• Hands-on ownership of data engineering lifecycle from generation to serving.
• Experience with batch and streaming ingestion including CDC and event streaming.
• Familiarity with MDM concepts and at least one MDM platform.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise data architecture blueprint, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Define storage strategies across lakehouse, warehouse, and archival tiers.
• Govern data security, governance, quality, metadata, and cataloging with CI/CD and observability standards.
• Lead Architecture Review Board discussions and governance for data products.
• Partner with product/engineering to design data contracts and schemas for downstream use.
