Job summary

William Blair seeks a Lead Enterprise Cloud & Systems Engineer to own the product lifecycle for the firm's backend collaboration platforms. You will guide PMs on roadmaps and ensure health, security, and reliability across O365/M365, Exchange, Proofpoint, Google Enterprise, and related tools.

You will partner with security and architecture to keep platforms compliant, enable adoption, and drive forward-looking technology strategy for enterprise investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 6–8 years of enterprise Microsoft and collaboration platform experience.
• Certifications preferred; product ownership or management experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of M365/O365, Exchange, Proofpoint and Google Enterprise.
• Experience with Docusign, Smartsheet and Metallic data protection.
• Ability to define roadmaps and drive platform improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead product engineer for firm’s backend M365 portfolio (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Own product lifecycle and roadmap for Exchange email environment, hybrid config.
• Administer Proofpoint email security and branding security measures.
• Manage Google Enterprise Platform integration and security across org.
• Oversee Metallic data protection, backup coverage, and restores readiness.
• Administer DocuSign, Smartsheet governance, licensing, and adoption.
• Monitor health, automate processes, and drive reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with security/architecture to ensure compliance and secure environments.
• Create documentation and enablement content; support platform disaster recovery.
