Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks an Enterprise Cloud Architect to design scalable cloud-based dev/test environments, transitioning on‑prem workloads to hyperscale clouds.

You will lead architecture initiatives across multiple programs, mentor teams, and drive accreditation activities for ATO readiness. The role emphasizes DoD-classified networks experience, strong cloud engineering skills, and collaboration in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or SRE.
• Excellent communication skills, including briefing technical recommendations to leadership.
• High proficiency in Azure and Google Cloud.
• Strong experience with agile methodologies, source control, and CI/CD.
• Active U.S. TS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple organizations to develop cloud architecture and strategy.
• Understand strategic needs and maintain implementation plans aligned to customer requirements.
• Advise leadership on technical feasibility of network and cloud plans; advocate for mature environment offerings.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop crossdomain solutions enabling secure transfer of data into classified environments.
• Support CI/CT/CD processes in hybrid cloud environments.
• Prototype and troubleshoot complex systems spanning onpremises and cloud environments.
• Prepare and present detailed roadmaps for transitioning to endstate cloud architecture; estimate cloud TCO and ROI.
