Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a senior technology lead/architect to shape the technology direction for a complex, regulated financial-services estate. This hands-on role requires engineering excellence and collaboration with senior leaders to turn strategy into realizable designs.

You will partner with the Head of Technology in Enterprise Solutions to ensure architecture, resilience, and regulatory alignment across multiple teams and domains, balancing long-term goals with near-term delivery constraints.

Qualifications

• 25+ years of experience building and operating systems in tier-1 banks, capital markets infrastructure, or similarly regulated, high-availability environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Head of Technology to shape technology direction for Enterprise Solutions.
• Lead as a hands-on principal engineer and architect, grounding strategy in engineering reality and operational outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior engineering leaders, platform teams, and product partners to translate strategy into buildable designs.
• Involvement in complex initiatives and major incidents, balancing speed, simplicity, and risk.
• Act as engineering authority across Enterprise Solutions, influencing architecture and delivery decisions across teams.
