Job summary

REV LLC is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide program-level architectural leadership for a large-scale modernization initiative. The role maintains the overarching architecture across applications, data, infrastructure, security, integrations, and business processes while ensuring decisions align with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

This is a senior level, 1099 Independent Contractor position, approximately 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with CS coursework (12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours)
• 7+ years IT experience including design, development, or maintenance
• 5+ years hands-on architectural leadership with SDLC/Agile experience
• Experience designing end-to-end architecture for large-scale apps and infrastructure
• Experience evaluating architectures, platforms, vendors, and trade-offs
• Knowledge of microservices, API patterns, security controls, and data governance
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and serverless options
• Strong communication to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, and reference models
• Lead architecture reviews with teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Define governance, reference models, and architectural trade-offs
• Evaluate platforms, vendors, and technology options against business needs
• Identify gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities across domains
• Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and risk considerations are built in
• Provide architectural guidance across applications, data, infrastructure, and APIs
• Mentor architects, developers, and project teams
• Support complex troubleshooting and remediation strategies
• Communicate risks, decisions, and dependencies to stakeholders
