Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the strategic design, governance, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across large-scale IT environments. You will define current, transition, and future architectures while aligning with business objectives and technology roadmaps.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business leaders, engineering, security, and vendors, and requires deep expertise in data center, storage, backup, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 16 to 20 years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture.
• Extensive experience designing and governing large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in data center technologies, databases, storage, backup and modernization.
• Proven experience developing enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, governance processes, and roadmaps.
• Security, compliance, risk management, and disaster recovery knowledge.
• Ability to lead cross-functional architecture discussions with stakeholders.
• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with TOGAF/AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain current-state, transition-state, and target-state enterprise architectures.
• Develop and govern architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
• Lead architecture assessments for cloud adoption, modernization, and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate solutions considering scalability, security, cost, and operations.
• Ensure designs meet resilience, business continuity, and cybersecurity standards.
• Drive vendor evaluations and proof-of-concept activities for strategic investments.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure architecture alignment across projects.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation and decision records.
• Provide senior technical leadership during complex incidents and upgrades.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and automation across the org.
