Job summary

SMX is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to document design and implementation of secure, modular cloud architectures. You will guide development teams, craft design and sizing documents, and align across teams to optimize technical outcomes.

The role requires Top Secret clearance, AWS cert, and extensive experience across the SDLC and hybrid multi-cloud environments. Strong communication and self-starting diligence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in a solution architect or related role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Deep familiarity with cloud architecture, including hybrid multi-cloud target architectures and operating models.
• Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Experience with AI code conversion and GenAI-related code quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A self-starter who is detail-oriented, can work with minimal supervision, and consistently produces quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to document high-quality technological solutions and architecture models.
• Document system designs that feature open architecture, incorporating modularity to consolidate sub-systems into secure cloud environments.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to support development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Write comprehensive design, sizing, and operational documentation.
• Analyze existing project scopes and processes to recommend and implement improvements.
• Leverage DevSecOps principles and stay current with new technologies and third-party applications to solve complex problems.
