Qualifications

• 15+ years in enterprise or solution architecture across multiple domains.
• Experience shaping enterprise technology landscapes across applications, data platforms, and integration patterns, not just one platform.
• Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or government-adjacent environments with constraints around sensitive data handling, segmentation, and compliance.
• Experience working in hybrid or multi-environment architectures (commercial + government-hosted, cloud + on-prem).
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and trade-offs between APIs, eventing, batch movement, replication, and system coupling.
• Ability to engage effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, security/compliance, and infrastructure leaders.
• Strong judgment, communication, and facilitation skills in ambiguous environments with incomplete information and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve target-state enterprise systems and data architecture across major domains.
• Lead discovery and rationalization of function-level and shadow IT stacks, documenting current-state architectures.
• Design and govern architecture patterns for regulated multi-environment operations (commercial and government-hosted).
• Partner with Cloud & Infrastructure and Security & Compliance on infrastructure implications of architecture.
• Define approved integration patterns between systems and data platforms (APIs, eventing, batch).
• Guide decisions on where sensitive data and workloads should reside and how systems interact safely.
• Provide architectural oversight for cross-domain programs (ERP implementation, data platform modernization).
• Establish architecture review practices, reference architectures, and reusable standards.
• Coach engineering teams on enterprise architecture principles and design standards.
• Act as strategic partner to Sr. Director of Enterprise Data & Architecture to extend leadership.
