Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to support the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC) at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. This on-site role requires a Top Secret clearance and substantial enterprise architecture experience.

You will develop reference models, close gaps to target architectures, and guide technology decisions. Strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to translate complex concepts for stakeholders are essential for success.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in a technical engineering role.
• Ability to integrate with other organizations/teams.
• Ability to develop a strong working relationship with the customer.

Responsibilities

• Develop reference models of the enterprise and maintain the information in the IT repository.
• Determine gaps between current and target architecture and plan transitions.
• Recommend policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture.
• Identify opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and emerging technologies.
• Promote and educate customers on the value of the enterprise architecture.
• Provide enterprise architecture guidance, support, and coordination to customers and IT project teams.
• Document the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including business units and key processes, using modeling techniques.
• Ensure technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, and reviews.
• Evaluate the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomes.
• Coordinate and conduct governance and portfolio management activities to ensure compliance with the enterprise architecture and cybersecurity policies.

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Enterprise Architect directly supporting the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC) within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) which is located at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas.

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a technical engineering role
• Ability to Integrate with other organizations/teams
• Ability to develop a highly effective working relationship with the customer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Experience working with agile methodology
• Excellent customer service, leadership, communication, and interface skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Contractor shall perform work that involves the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise structural framework to align IT strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

• Developing reference models of the enterprise and maintaining the information in the IT repository.
• Determining the gaps between the current and the target architecture and recommending plans for transitioning to target architecture.
