Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an IS Application Manager to lead and mentor an engineering team responsible for building and maintaining enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.

You will set technical direction, oversee architecture and API/service delivery, and drive modernization toward open-system, cloud-ready microservices while ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering and enterprise application development.
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams or equivalent technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on coding for application developments.
• Lead and manage software engineering teams responsible for design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications.
• Provide technical leadership, strategic direction, and engineering oversight for complex development and modernization initiatives.
• Establish and communicate the technical vision, engineering strategy, and development roadmap.
• Oversee development of Java/Spring Boot backend services, RESTful APIs, microservices, and React-based user interfaces.
• Drive modernization of legacy applications toward open-system, API-driven, cloud-ready architectures.
• Establish engineering standards for coding, architecture, testing, security, DevOps, deployment, and production support.
• Prepare and communicate technical strategies, project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
