Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect (L6) to lead the organization's most complex customer engagements and drive platform adoption across strategic accounts.

You will own executive-level relationships, define consumption strategy, and serve as the definitive technical authority for your portfolios. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams, mentor junior SAs, and shape enterprise-wide architectures involving real-time data, ML/AI at scale, and lakehouse patterns.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in solutions architecture or senior technical pre-sales
• Expert-level coding proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark
• Deep enterprise data architecture experience: distributed systems, streaming, lakehouse, data governance, cloud-native platforms
• Expert-level Databricks Platform knowledge or equivalent depth
• Declared technical specialization with recognized depth in real-time architectures/ML platforms/data governance
• Proven track record of driving consumption growth and platform adoption in large accounts
• Executive presence to influence Directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative discipline (advanced degrees valued)

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical and consumption strategy for the most complex customer engagements
• Own senior-level technical relationships and advise on enterprise data and AI strategy
• Lead multi-workload architecture engagements and migrations at scale
• Mentor junior SAs and drive horizontal impact across the team
• Develop competitive strategies and position against incumbents and emerging platforms
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions
• Contribute to field engineering thought leadership through content and workshops
• Support interview process with live coding assessments and platform builds
